Home Tutoring Online creates a safe, fun and interactive online classroom, using the latest technology. We use three different technologies and combine them into one to make our online classroom;
The online whiteboard is an amazing piece of technology. It is like normal whiteboard in real life, but much better.
It's interactive, fun and easy to use. You can draw on it; upload files, copy and paste text onto it, save the link and view the slide later and so much more. To see exactly what it can do watch the video below or register and you can try the whiteboard out right away!
When you decide to register you can try out the whiteboard so that you're used to it prior to the lesson.
VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol - basically means talking over the internet. This allows you to talk to your tutor, in real time, as if you were face to face with them. You will be able to hear them clearly and easily and the best thing about it is it's free! There are many services that use VoIP already and you may have heard of them; Skype and Google Chat, sound familiar?
Many modern laptops have a built in microphone but we highly recommend that you purchase a headset, you can get them for a great price from Amazon and we recommend the XYZ headset. You can also purchase them from any good computer and electronic retailer.
Chat / Instant Messaging
The chat function allows you to chat to your tutor via an instant messaging box located to the right of the whiteboard. It is similar to using MSN Messenger or Facebook Chat. You communicate through typing text in to the box and clicking 'send' it will then automatically appear in the chat box.
